Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant your duties will include:

• Assist in developing and maintaining policies in relation to capital asset management
• Maintain accounting and tax asset register ensuring capital expenditure is capitalised and disposals processed
• Reconcile capital expenditure to the general ledger and resolve variances
• Maintain register of capital work in progress
• Prepare and present reports on capital asset expenditures
• Preparing capital asset information for incorporation into monthly Board report
• Assisting the Assets team and the Senior Management Accountant in preparation of capital expenditure budgets and cash flow forecasts
• Assist the Financial Controller with preparation of asset notes to statutory financial statements
• Ad hoc duties as required

Skills and experience required:

• Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or Finance Administrator role
• Experience within a project administrative or management accounting function beneficial
• Capital works experience would be advantageous
