General Manager – Risk and Compliance
As CMG’s operations continue to grow in scale and complexity, there is a need to build on our current risk management processes and develop a more holistic, enterprise-wide risk and compliance framework, which will balance the risk and reward outcomes for CMG.
Reporting to the Chief of Group Strategy and Development, and with significant Board and Executive team support, the position will be responsible for partnering with the various business service lines to;
• Establish, implement and maintain a ‘fit-for purpose’ risk management framework • Identify, assess and quantify business risk • Develop and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies • Establish a consistent Risk Reporting regime • Educate the business to build a ‘balanced risk’ culture across the organisation
Initial key focus areas will include;
• Disaster recovery planning • Business continuity planning • Potential failure, error, omission or fraud regarding systems and processes • Regulatory compliance
Operating cross-functionally, the GM-Risk and Compliance will possess;
• Superior relationship-building, partnering, influencing and change management skills • Proven experience in building operational risk frameworks and cultures • Ideally experience in sectors such as manpower services • Strong leadership and people-management experience • Process improvement experience – Lean, Six Sigma etc – will be well regarded
