About our Client

Our client is a well established, Perth based, ASX listed mining producer, who operate multiple mines in a number of locations across Australia. Having seen continued growth over the last calendar year, they now have some clearly defined, exciting and achievable growth targets set for 2012. Due to a recent change in the finance team they are seeking a Corporate Controller.

Job Description

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller the Corporate Accountant will manage the corporate accounting function for the company, which totals 6 staff. This role will also be responsible for but not limited to the following;

• Preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Management of month end procedures
• Responsible for quarterly, half year and annual internal and external reporting
• Preparation of monthly cash flows and cash forecasting for Group
• Responsible for banking and treasury transactions and reporting
• Management of the audit process and liaison with tax consultants

The Successful Applicant

You will be CA/CPA qualified and have prior experience working in mining. Previous experience in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and a strong working knowledge of ASX reporting, will also be required for this role. Due to recent structural changes in the finance team, you will need strong leadership skills and prior experience mentoring and developing junior accounting staff. This role represents an excellent opportunity to secure a supervisor role in a producing mining company, with a clear growth strategy over the next 3 to 5 years.
