Based 8kms south of the City this is an ideal opportunity to add commercial value whilst working closely with operations staff. Job Description Reporting to the East coast Head Office, with a dotted line to the State General Manager, you will become a key WA business partner who will be given the autonomy and responsibility to add value and drive change. You will support a variety of internal stakeholders through the provision of invaluable financial management information and assist senior management with strategic decision making relating to the region. Responsibilities will include: - Prepare and deliver the annual budget and monthly forecasts in an accurate and timely manner
- Produce monthly management reports and provide commercial financial advice to both the Corporate Office and the State General Manager
- Add value through analysis and commentary in regard to business metrics, KPI reporting, branch, customer and sales analysis
- Take a leading role in general inventory control and stock takes both at branch and state level
- Support the Corporate Finance team where required in relation to month-end close and periodic financial reporting
- Actively contribute to state, branch and sales meetings, presenting concise management information to enable decision making
- Ad-hoc contract and tender review, systems and process improvement projects where required
The Successful Applicant In order to be considered for this role you will possess both a relevant University degree and a professional accounting qualification. Coupled with a strong academic background, you will have proven experience within an industrial, commercial environment with a background in management accounting. You will possess the ability to not only produce and analyse the numbers, but also deliver recommendations, improvements and solutions. Operational exposure within a similar environment and role is desirable along with a willingness to travel to regional branches where required.
