Joining the Community Programs division you will have the opportunity to collaborate with community stakeholders in communicating the outcomes of their programs. This varied and busy role will see you promoting grant opportunities to community and business groups and assisting them to design and implement marketing communications strategies in order to realise their sustainable vision. A key part of the role involves developing and managing the division’s first social media strategy to connect local communities and promote sustainable initiatives. You will provide valuable advice to stakeholders in the areas of positioning and branding, online marketing, communications and media. For this busy and varied position we are looking for someone with a broad marketing communications background. Proven skills in the areas of social media and online marketing, event management and account management will be the key to your success. As the ‘go-to’ person for marketing advice, your demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies will be critical for this role as will your previous experience in employing social media tools to promote campaigns and initiatives. Demonstrated success in managing successful events will be a key element for this position. Interest/experience in sustainability and/or community programs will be highly regarded for this role.
