My client is one of the largest growing companies in Australia, responsible for large scale projects and developments across Australia, they currently have over 7,000 employees working throughout Australia on projects in both regional and metropolitan areas. There operations span the globe in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific. They employ 60,000 employees globally at around 2,600 locations on five continents.

Reporting directly to the National Payroll Manager as a Payroll Officer / Analyst you will be working in a team of 10 and will be key member responsible for the end to end processing of selected (weekly, fortnightly and monthly) payroll(s) and the on going maintenance of the payroll system and leave planning as well as Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to overtime, shift allowances. You will also be required to assist the payroll manager with month end consolidation and reconciliation of payroll and group tax for over 1,000 employees.

The ideal candidate will have proven full function payroll processing experience within a large scale payroll environment, Previous SAP experience is ESSENTIAL. Excellent written and verbal communication is a must as well as you will be required to liaise with staff and management on payroll related queries. You must have an eye for detail and be able to work to deadlines with a proactive approach to work. Understanding of payroll legislation and processes ie. tax, superannuation will be highly regarded.
