Are you a proven Payroll Officer looking for a new permanent role in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs? The successful applicant would report into the CFO and manage a Payroll Assistant. This role would be to run the Payroll for 180 staff using the MicrOpay system and the client is keen that applicants have previous exposure to MicroPay. Key responsibilities: - Ensure the timely compilation and distribution of pay for all staff on a computerised system. - Analyse awards, agreements and determine pay differentials for shiftwork, overtime and penalties as required. - Adjust payroll input as required according to time records, annual and other leave and statutory/voluntary deductions. - Ensure that employee salary records are correct and up to date. - Improve payroll processes as part of continuous improvement initiatives. - Control the deduction of tax instalments and superannuation and process information for payment to the Taxation Department and appropriate bodies. - Process the salary packaging and salary sacrificing function. - Allocate payroll expenses to appropriate accounts for costing purposes. - Process workers’ compensation claims and maintain appropriate records. - Carry out any reconciliation/accounting procedures connected with the pay function. - Provide payroll information to management for budgets, reports and special projects For more information please submit your CV in the first instance.
