Yoorallas Home and Community Approach (HACA) program has vacancies for permanent part time Support Workers to join their dedicated team of staff in the Southern Suburbs of Melbourne. The HACA program provides support to older adults with intellectual disabilities and is designed to promote quality of life through independence and choice.
HACA operates from Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2.30pm each day supporting the participants in their homes or in the community. We currently have multiple positions available and you would be required to work the above hours each week, and attend a staff meeting in Cranbourne every second week for 2.5 hours which totals 52.5 hours per fortnight.
We are looking for people who have:
- A person centred approach
- Level 2 First Aid Qualification
- Current Australian open drivers licence
- Experience within the disability field and sound knowledge of the sector and/or relevant life experience that would enable you to work positively with our service users
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and liaison skills
- Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent would be highly regarded
