Design & Build are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified Civil Engineers for the role of interim Technical Officer with a council located in the western suburbs of Melbourne. This municipality, located within easy reach from public transport has a four month contract with the option of a further extension, pending workload. Working within the Civil Design & Transport Team, you will be tasked with performing a pivotal role in providing support and technical assistance to a range of stakeholders. Duties will include but not limited to: • Carry out traffic surveys and collate data • Monitor and respond to 'Dial Before You Dig' requests • Conduct site inspections and provide information to developers • Undertake drafting, using AutoCAD software • Assist in the administration, management and location of speed advisory signs Requirements include: • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering • Victorian drives licence • Six months exposure working within local government • Excellent communication skills Benefits include: • Immediate temporary role with the option of applying for the permanent post • Hourly rate reflective of experience For a full job description / profile please contact Matt Larner today.
