Health Business Software Support/Implementation Engineer - Health Systems

Our client, a CBD based Global Health Systems Solutions company, is looking for someone with experience working in the healthcare or medical field (so a nurse or Pharmacists with technical IT skills) to provide Systems Support & Advice on major medication management software projects.

The Support & Implementation Engineer position is required to ensure efficient technical support and services to clients as well as the internal development teams.
  
This person needs to be more experienced with the Health Business. So someone who talk the talk and walk the walk as well as being IT savvy. 

Responsibilities:
Solution Implementation Responsibilities:
  • Analysis of a customers functional requirements
  • Delivering training to customers
  • Creation and continual update of user and training documentation
  • Configuration of our solution including the addition of reference data
  • Advise and assist sites with system configuration
  • Assistance with pre sales opportunities where appropriate
  • Writing specification or requirements documentation
  • Support users through user acceptance testing
  • Contribute to internal staff training
  • Provide mentoring to new staff
Support Responsibilities:
  • Participating in second line and third line customer support for issues logged
  • Take ownership of assigned calls 
  • Prioritising of the logged calls as per Service Level Agreement (SLA) attached to the log
  • Participate in After Hours Support Roster
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and standards within the team.
  • Perform software acceptance testing for new and maintenance software releases
  • Be an advocate for the site for which they are the nominated Customer Support Advocate
  • Build an excellent working relationship with customers.
  • Providing formal and regular feedback to SL/SS regarding improved solution opportunities
  • Participate and contribute to Solution Team meetings
Skills in some of the following technical skills would be highly advantageous: But not essential)

  • General software application skills - Word, Excel, MS Project, Email, Intranet, remote desktop - intermediate to advanced
  • Skills in HTML/XML advantageous
  • Skills in the Microsoft environment including Windows Server 200x, IIS, MSMQ
  • Qualifications in one or more of the following disciplines  - MSSQL, SQL
  • Server, Database administration, Oracle, Crystal Reports
  • Crystal Reports Skills/Qualifications highly desirable
  • Sound knowledge of business processes in hospital or clinical environment
  • Project management experience an asset
  • Excellent problem resolution skills with a demonstrated ability to take initiative in problem identification, analysis and resolution.
Functional Skills needed:
  • Qualifications in Pharmacy eg: Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician highly desirable
  • Relevant Tertiary IT qualifications and/or technical experience
  • Experience in a client-facing technical help desk/product support environment.
  • Experience in the Australian health industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
