A leading player in the telecommunications environment is looking for a Technical Specialist to join ASAP for an initial 6 month contract.

This position is responsible for designing, integrating and optimizing of the organisation's GSM and WCDMA networks across Victoria/TAS, including leading technical projects and the introduction of new features and technologies.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Monitoring network performances
• Implementing changes into networks and optimizing parameters for 2G and 3G
• Drive testing
• Analyzing data to improve
• RF design of new sites and upgrading of existing sites
• Mentoring junior team members
• Meeting all accessibility, retainability and capacity performance KPI's for existing Victoria/TAS network with an emphasis on HSPA and wireless broadband
• Completing designs within project timeframes and assisting other team members on design and technical issues.
• Provide input and be the Victoria/TAS lead into expert forum groups (Optimisation, Refarming, RF Design) 

The successful candidate will have the following:

• 5 + Years of relevant experience
• Strong experience in 2G and 3G network for RF design/build, dimensioning and optimising.
• Strong experience in GSM/UMTS mobile testing equipment functionalities
• Expert level experience in 2G and 3G including inter-working technology.
• Australian Drivers licence
• Working at Heights certification would be advantageous
